\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSelon la Banque Africaine de D\u00e9veloppement (BAD), le d\u00e9ficit en infrastructure en Afrique conduit \u00e0 une croissance des co\u00fbts de production et des services, une baisse de la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 des affaires, un impact n\u00e9gatif sur le flux des Investissements Directs Etrangers vers le continent. Tout ceci influence le taux de croissance de l\u2019\u00e9conomie et le d\u00e9veloppement social sur le continent. La Banque Africaine de D\u00e9veloppement estime \u00e9galement les besoins de financement des infrastructures de l\u2019Afrique \u00e0 170 milliards de dollars am\u00e9ricains par an d\u2019ici \u00e0 2025. Le d\u00e9ficit de financement est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 108 milliards de dollars par an.\n\u00ab En Afrique, les infrastructures ont tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre concentr\u00e9es dans les zones urbaines. Les zones rurales sont laiss\u00e9es de c\u00f4t\u00e9. Nous devons donc nous assurer d\u2019avoir une infrastructure de densit\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9gions rurales et de faire en sorte que les entreprises alimentaires et agroalimentaires puissent s\u2019implanter dans ces r\u00e9gions et cr\u00e9er une nouvelle \u00e9conomie, qui permettra \u00e0 ces zones rurales de sortir de la mis\u00e8re \u00e9conomique pour devenir des zones de prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique\u00a0\u00bb a soulign\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident de la Banque Africaine de D\u00e9veloppement Dr. Akinwumi Adesina. Despite appreciable efforts by ECOWAS, UEMOA, CEMAC, CEAC, EAC and other key players to promote infrastructure investment, the state of the regional infrastructure sectors and their contribution to the free trade area in Africa remains very modest.
C\u2019est pourquoi, l\u2019organisation du Africa Infrastructure Forum (AI Forum) \u00e0 Abidjan vient \u00e0 point nomm\u00e9 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ce besoin.
The forum, which will be attended by several Heads of State, Heads of Government, infrastructure ministers, transport ministers, supervisory bodies and departments, builders, contractors and managers of land, port and airport infrastructure, suppliers of public works equipment and materials, design and engineering firms, multilateral organisations, logistics operators, financial backers, strategy and legal consultants, banks and insurance companies, private investors, and so on. The aim of the conference is to examine the financing needs of infrastructure in Africa, and to advocate the mobilisation of these resources as part of a dynamic involving the public and private sectors, in order to speed up the construction of major projects with a particular impact on the African Free Trade Area.
